Itinerary in Supersano
Our territory rich in history and nature offers many initiatives of cultural and naturalistic as well as gastronomic itineraries. Supersano is located in the hinterland of the Lower Salento, in fact, those who love hiking, can not fail to visit this area,
full of interesting hiking sites.
We can organize different trekking itineraries to our guests through paths that develop in the Serra di Supersano. In spring it is wonderful to walk in the undergrowth where in addition to seeing buzzards, kestrels … it is possible to photograph beautiful natural orchids. Medium difficulty routes can be of medium difficulty and children can participate. The routes can last depending on the needs of the guests that we will gladly accompany.
The jewel of this excursion is certainly the fresco of the Madonna di Coelimanna, located in the cemetery complex where, at the foot of the greenhouse and on the top of a staircase, stands the eighteenth-century Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Coelimanna. A flight of stairs higher up, behind the Sanctuary, is the Byzantine church-crypt, whose origins are lost in the most remote past.
Also among the various excursions in addition to the possibility to book at one of the many farms in the area, we organize a gastronomic stop to taste “Bread and Oil” of Agrosì Agricultural Company, within the ancient olive groves.
